Clarks Cambridge Lion Yard
The interview process was easy, Told me a time to arrive had the interview and landed the job 1 hour later. I was trained on Kids section first then adults, I became supervisor of other people on the kids section less than 3 months into the job due to how many hours and the training I was given. The downside to the job was the processes in which we had to sell the shoes. It was not just the shoes we had set targets of "shoe care" if we did not reach these we were penalised for targets that were not met no matter how many shoes we had sold. A downside was that you were expected to come into the company on short notice and if you could not you were made to feel guilty. The communication for time off was not great. When I had a car accident and was on crutches I was unable to work for 6 weeks, When I went in to discuss this they were not best pleased and not once was I asked about my personal wellbeing. On the flip side, Most individuals were lovely on the shop floor.
